Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Equipment

  • 1 9 x 13 baking dish

Ingredients

Crust

  • 2 c pretzels crushed
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1/2 c butter

Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 12 oz cool whip
  • 1 c sugar

Topping

  • 2 pkg strawberry gelatin 3 oz packages
  • 20 oz strawberries frozen

Instructions

Crust

  • Melt butter. Crush Pretzels. Combine butter, crushed pretzels and 2T sugar and press into bottom of 9 x 13 pan.

Filling

  • Mix cream cheese cool whip and 1 cup of sugar together and spread over pretzel crust. Chill until firm.

Topping

  • Slightly thaw strawberries and gently mash. Mix 2 cups boiling water, 2 packages of strawberry gelatin and strawberries together. Let sit until it starts to thicken. Stir again and slowly pour over cream cheese/cool whip filling.
    Chill overnight before serving
