Country Ribs with Gravy

A twist on the usual. Serve over rice.

Ingredients

  • 4 lb pork ribs
  • 1 T vegetable oil
  • 3/4 c onion chopped
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 3 oz frozen apple juice concentrate thawed
  • 1/2 t poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 t cinnamon
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 c chopped apple
  • 1/2 c chopped celery
  • 1/4 c evaporated milk

Instructions

  • Brown ribs in vegetable oil. Rove from pan and reserve 1 tablespoon of drippings. Add onion to drippings and cool until tender. Add soup, apple juice, poultry seasoning, cinnamon and bay leaf. Stir until combined.
  • Return ribs to pan and simmer covered for 45 minutes. Add apple and celery. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes more. Add evaportated milk and heat through.
  • Serve over rice.
